Before looking at specifications, name what is not working now. Maybe you sleep too warm, wake up uncomfortable, feel a partner move, dislike the edge, or cannot tell which option is worth the difference in price. Those concerns give the comparison a purpose.

Firmness numbers are only a starting point
One brand’s medium can feel different from another’s. Compare mattresses side by side when possible and notice how your shoulders, hips, and midsection feel in your usual sleep position.

Construction changes the experience
Foam, innerspring, and hybrid mattresses can differ in bounce, contouring, edge feel, and motion transfer. None is automatically best; the tradeoffs should fit the way you use the bed.

Cooling claims deserve a closer look
Ask where the cooling material is used, whether airflow is part of the construction, and what you are likely to feel at the surface. Bedding and room temperature matter, too.

Couples may need more than one answer
Talk about each person’s preferred feel, movement during the night, edge use, and space. The right solution may be a balanced feel, a larger size, or an adjustable setup.

Value is more than the sale price
Compare construction, expected use, care requirements, foundation compatibility, delivery costs, and the written warranty. A lower price is not useful if the mattress is wrong for the room or sleeper.
